I have installed Office 2016 for Mac and am working on a spreadsheet in Excel that was created in Excel on my older MacBook Pro running Office 2011 for Mac. I have tried doing a safe start up, I've uninstalled/reinstalled, and I've done a clean uninstall/reinstall, all to no avail. Within a cell that contains a line break, move cursor down by one paragraph. Within a cell that contains a line break, move cursor up by one paragraph. Move cursor to the end of the current cell +Down arrow key. Move cursor to the beginning of the current cell +Up arrow key. This exercise was done completely in Mac Excel 2016, and other than not knowing a few of the shortcuts I use everyday, it was not very different from working in Windows Excel 2016. I'm running Office for Mac 2016 Excel version 16.10 (180210). Move cursor to the end of the current line within a cell +Right arrow key.
